The World Award: Camouflage Category presented by KRYOLAN is a unique highlight of the World Bodypainting Festival, inspired by the remarkable art technique where models are painted to seamlessly blend into their environment. This category has celebrated outstanding creativity, precision, and the fascinating power of optical illusion.
Due to the growing interest from artists around the world, the competition now spans two full days, offering more participants the opportunity to showcase their mastery in visual transformation.
For the second time, the event will take place on 3rd & 4th July 2026 in Vipiteno/Sterzing, a picturesque town nestled in the Italian Alps. With its vibrant streets, medieval charm, and stunning mountain backdrop, it looks like a scene lifted from a postcard. The warm hospitality and historic atmosphere make it an ideal location for a competition where art and environment merge into one breathtaking experience.
We are thrilled that in the edition 2026 we are able to add onther World Championship category. Thanks to the support of the host city and SUPERSTAR we are organizing on 2 days the World Award in Facepainting!

/ World Awards in Camouflage, Facepainting & Jam Sessions
3 & 4 July 2026
3rd and 4th July are our two main event days. The World Bodypainting Award in Camouflage, presented by KRYOLAN, and the Facepainting category, powered by SUPERSTAR, will take place in Sterzing/Vipiteno's old town.
Artists will demonstrate their skills in this difficult category on different locations in and around the old town of Vipiteno.
At the same time, artists will have the opportunity to give free rein to their creativity in a Creative Bodypainting Jam Session in the town. Here, artists have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other artists and paint freely, try out new techniques or simply enjoy the creative energy.
New this year is the World Championship in Face Painting, which will take place on the main square in the Old Town, in front of the main stage.
