The 16th edition of the World Bodypainting festival is coming closer and the single award categories are filling up quite fast. Many of you already registered and even have finished their concepts; others should be fast to get a place in the Awards. Although the deadline for registering is in June, some of the categories may be closed earlier.

The same counts for the WB Academy (1st to 4th July in and around Pörtschach). Only few Academy Passes are left and some of the classes are already pretty full.
For the first time at the World Bodypainting Festival we are going to present an Installation Art Award, an artistic genre of site-specific, three-dimensional works designed to transform the perception of a space.
On various places on the festival grounds, 3 different artists will show the visitors their project. The prize is sponsored by our main partner KRYOLAN.

A new hot spot for photographers is presented as one of the highlights in the Photo Area this year. The "Photo Action Bay" provides professional lighting equipment powered by Hensel for your individual shootings as well as professional reflectors and diffusers by Sunbounce, mobile flashes and much more. Master photographers will assist with professional tips and tricks
Further guided photo sessions on "Outdoor Light" will take place daily in the afternoons. Every photographer is invited to print out one photo on HP-Large-Format 40*60 cm print for free.

London Lady Victoria Gugenheim is going to add another amazing highlight at the "Body Circus - the surreal ballroom" in the magic castle Moosburg. In her explosive performance The Creatvie Spark she uses metal, fire and beats.

Our education program for bodypainting, face effects, airbrush, special effects and photography which takes place before the festival main days from the 1st to the 4th of July in and around Pörtschach is gearing up for the final "hot phase". The single classes are getting filled up and if you have not yet booked your favourite course it is getting time! Please note, the special deal with the "WB Academy Pass" for only € 309 is available for only another 10 individuals. There you can choose within 4 days your favourite instructor.

Fashion in different forms of expression are also part of the World Bodypainting Festival program. We provide the festival main stage every day to 2 selected designers to show their collection on the runway.
One of the highlights is going to be the London based avant-garde costume and fashion designer Anna Kostina. She designs costumes for performance under her label ANA. Combining fashion/costume design and art stands in the focus of her work. According to the concept ANA designs artistically expressive costumes to achieve the desired effect of the performance. It is her goal to create a fantasy world and take the audience on an unforgettable journey.
We are happy to anounce another great music highlight. The amazing mega live band, "The BossHoss" from Berlin are going to rock the colorful festival szene. The 90 minutes concert of the cowboys is also available within the 3 days festival pass including all main days from 5 - 7 July for only € 40.
We are very happy to be able to offer with our partners Adobe & CG - Shop (www.cgshop.at) some great FREE workshops during the World Bodypainting Festival Week.
Instructors Christoph Kaltseis will focus on Adobe Photoshop CS 6, Cloud and Lightroom on 3 different days, while CG-Shop is going to present the latest software highlights from Cinema 4D and Photoshop to compose amazing images and on aonther day colour management with Eizo and Canon.
Participation is free, but registration is needed.
